Muttiah Muralitharan who was hospitalized in Chennai’s Apollo Hospital yesterday after a cardiac issue, is set to be discharged and return to the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) dugout for the Indian Premier League (IPL) after a successful angioplasty, the hospital confirmed. The Sri Lankan legend’s hospitalization was announced yesterday and it led to panic among fans of the icon but the hospital assured that everything turned out to be successful with regard to treatment.

The Sri Lankan spin-bowling legend is a part of the SRH franchise in the IPL as a mentor and bowling coach. His side haven’t had the best of starts to their season as they are currently bottom of the table, having lost all three of their matches. The side failed to chase down totals in all three of their matches with their middle-order consisting of Indian batters proving to be the biggest Achilles Heel.
