The WWE Universe was shocked when the veteran MVP was not removed from the internal roster. Since then, he has made several posts on social media referencing WWE’s move. Now, the former United States Champion has once again shared an emotional post on social media and seemingly confirmed the rumors of him leaving the company.

MVP took to Instagram and penned a long message addressing the wrestling fans. He spoke about his return at the Royal Rumble in 2020, explaining that he came back because his son wanted to see him wrestle. That match was meant to be his final one, but Brock Lesnar disrupted his plans by eliminating him early. However, WWE needed his expertise and veteran experience when the pandemic hit.

As time went on and WWE transitioned into the PC era and then the Thunderdome era, MVP laced up his boots once again. The most enjoyable part of his second run in WWE was his time with the faction known as The Hurt Business. In his opinion, the group made history, and rightfully so, as at one point, all the members held gold. MVP still expresses frustration over the group being broken up prematurely and how The Bloodline stole their gimmick.

I came back so my baby boy could see “Daddy” in a WWE ring. “The Royal Rumble. The Royal Rumble.” That’s all I wanted. A one off. I was ready to retire. Then, I received an offer to become a producer. The pandemic hit. I became a producer AND a commentator for Main Event.

Along with him, stars like Bobby Lashley and Tamina have also been removed from the internal roster. In the case of The Almighty, WWE did offer him a chance to re-sign his contract, but he declined it. As for MVP, he expressed his desire to take part in tournaments after earning a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

Former WWE employee revealed there were talks about reuniting The Hurt Business

Matt Camp was a host on WWE’s The Bump show but, unfortunately, was released earlier this year. Recently, he made a shocking revelation about a popular Hurt Business faction. The group consisted of Lashley, MVP, Shelton Benjamin, and Cedric Alexander.

Speaking on the Wrestling Matt podcast, Camp admitted that there were talks of recreating the dominant faction with new members. However, the plans were never executed, and there was no reunion of The Hurt Business. Some of the superstars considered for the new group were Carmelo Hayes, Trick Williams, and Odyssey Jones.

There was talk of re-forming The Hurt Business, and they were going to put, I saw it with my own eyes, there were creative pitches to put Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams in the group. There were talks of doing it, but it didn't happen.

MVP himself once pitched the idea to Triple H to reunite the group, but Hunter wasn’t interested in doing so. Unfortunately, one of the members, Benjamin, was released from the company last year. With Lashley and MVP possibly leaving as well, Cedric is the only member left who has found a new gig on NXT.
