“My son is not retiring” Tom Brady Sr. calls out ‘fake’ reports, clarifies that his son is not retiring

In the few hours that have passed since reports came out that Tom Brady was officially retiring, we now have mass speculation about whether or not he actually is retiring.

The first reports that came out were from Brady’s agent who stated that Brady himself has not made any decision on retirement and that only his announcement will be truly accurate. In the time since, Brady’s father, Tom Brady Sr. has weighed in on the situation.

A report by ‘Kron4News’ says that Tom Brady Sr. has said, “My son is not retiring. An online publication started circulating an unsubstantiated rumor.”

Mike Giardi also added a report in which he too spoke with Brady’s father where he was quoted saying, “This story, Mike, is total conjecture. Tommy has not made a final decision one way or the other and anybody else that says that he has is absolutely wrong.”

So, with this new information, it leads us to believe that it’s possible that Tom Brady may not retire after all. While that would be quite the turnaround and would literally break the internet given what has passed over the last couple of hours, it’s more likely that this is an issue of timing.

One report has Brady Sr. saying that the quarterback is not retiring and the other has him saying that a decision hasn’t been made yet. Which one should be believed is all but speculation at this point. It seems though that the issue is more of a timing factor.

Tom Brady is still very likely to retire but he probably had an idea of when he would announce that to the world. Someone close to him seems to have jumped the gun on it and the reports started flooding in. Now seeing numerous reports about a decision not being made makes things seem like he’ll announce his retirement when he wants to, as he originally planned.
