Brock Lesnar is largely considered a genetic freak of nature. His speed and agility, compared to his size, are second to none, and he is the biggest combat sports athlete on the planet. This athletic talent runs deep in the Lesnar family. His son, Luke Lesnar, is a three-time Minnesota wrestling champion. His daughter, Mya Lesnar, has followed in her father’s footsteps, becoming an NCAA Champion with a hammer throw of 18.53 m.

As reported by Fightful, Mya Lesnar recently took part in a press conference where she talked about the importance of her dad in her life. She acknowledged his importance in her life, but at the end of the day, she wanted to make a name for herself. She even admitted to being in his shadow for the longest time.

The track-and-field athlete said that she only saw Lesnar as her father. He was never a superstar figure to her. She appreciated him being in her corner while the spotlight was on her. She further revealed some advice that her dad gave her after she became NCAA Champion. Lesnar told her to take it in and enjoy it, then put it away and move on.

It sounds super cliche, but I guess I just moved on and I’m ready for the next thing. That’s how he’s always lived.

This statement confused Mya Lesnar. She had been waiting for this moment her entire life. However, she later realized that this is how life happens. One wins and loses frequently. Yet, it was important to recognize the hard work one puts in. She claimed that the biggest thing Brock Lesnar taught her was to not let her trophies and accomplishments change her as a person. Thus, she always tried not to have an ego and to be grateful for the people in her life and the things that she had done.

Brock Lesnar’s daughter Mya Lesnar fails to qualify for the USA Track and Field team for Paris Olympics

Mya Lesnar had long stated that her goal was to represent Team USA in Track & Field in the Olympics. She was perhaps the favorite heading into the trials after helping Colorado to its fifth Mountain West Outdoor Championship with her incredible shot put skills. However, it appears that the 22-year-old may have to wait for another four years to fulfill her dream.

At the ongoing US Olympic Track and Field Team Trials, Lesnar placed last with a throw of 16.77m. This was much behind her personal best of 19.08m and held her back from punching her ticket to the French capital. Given her young age, she will undoubtedly have many more opportunities in the future. Furthermore, fans fully expect her to soon represent the American flag on an international stage.
