Cleveland Browns Myles Garrett fought tooth and nail in Week 11 to secure a morale-boosting win against the Pittsburgh Steelers. However, the Steelers wide receiver George Pickens dismissed the win, claiming the weather played a big part.
Conditions played a huge, huge part in today’s game. I don’t really think the Cleveland Browns are a good team at all. I think the conditions kind of saved them today. The snow, the conditions were so bad. I don’t even think the QB could see sometimes.
George Pickens said
Two weeks later, these two teams will face each other again in similar conditions at Acrisure Stadium on Sunday. Before that, after Friday’s training session, reporters asked Garrett about Pickens’ comments.
We played in the same snow. I don’t see how it was to any benefit to us more than them. We could be a better team on record, but we were good enough on that day, and we have to be good enough on Sunday; that’s all that matters.

Pickens also picked a beef with Browns’ corner Greg Newsome II. The third-year receiver missed an important Hail Mary catch while bickering with Newsome, which cost the Steelers the game.
Myles Garrett views the Steelers game as a personal affair
The Pickens-Newsome feud aside, the Steelers game also holds a big significance in Myles Garrett’s professional life. Last year, the 28-year-old won the Defensive Player of the Year award by edging past the Steelers’ TJ Watt. Watt shared that he was used to getting snubbed for major accolades.

Garrett got the better of Watt on November 21, and the Week 14 fixture will be crucial for both players.
I take the games against the Steelers personal because they are rivalry games.

The Browns-Steelers rivalry is among the oldest in the NFL, dating back to the early ‘50s. Mike Tomlin’s Steelers lead the all-time series 68-81-1, including the playoffs. However, the Browns have gotten the better of their AFC North opponents in recent years.
The most notable example would be the famous 48-37 in the 2021 wild card round. Quarterback Baker Mayfield threw 21 completions for 263 yards and 3 touchdowns. Garrett only had two tackles on the day, but it was the Browns’ first playoff win since 1999.
