Myles Turner Shouts Out Amazing Indiana Pacers Montage on 10-Year NBA Stint

The Indiana Pacers have rode heavily on their inside-out frontcourt to win three playoff series. All-Star Pascal Siakam is a lethal scorer from anywhere within 14 feet of the rim. Myles Turner, on the other hand, is a gifted 5-out center on the offensive end. He has the ability to get buckets from the free throw line and beyond. His three-point range has been a big factor in the Pacers’ offensive explosion in the playoffs.
Myles Turner also has the ability to shift momentum with his highlight dunks and his rim protection. After beating out Karl-Anthony Towns, Evan Mobley, Jarrett Allen, Brook Lopez and Giannis Antetokounmpo in these playoffs, Turner’s confidence in his value to the team should currently be sky-high. He’s also been a cornerstone for Indiana over the past 10 years, mostly filled with agonizing playoff disappointments.
The 10-year NBA veteran recently came across a post that pays tribute to his trying times in Indianapolis. Turner secured the Pacers’ franchise career blocks record this year, forever embedding his name in their history books. The video post pays tribute to the trials and tribulations that he’s encountered in the Midwest. Moved by the emotional nature of the post, Turner quote-tweeted it for the whole world to see.

The video clip features Turner’s famous block on 31-year-old LeBron James during his rookie season. It also features many of the signature highlight plays that have defined his decade in Indiana. For fans of the franchise who have stuck with the team through the heartbreaks of the Paul George era, the Victor Oladipo era and then the Domantas Sabonis takeover, this playoff run has been as cathartic as anything.
Turner and his Larry Bird MVP frontcourt partner Pascal Siakam will face yet another tough assignment in their opposition frontcourt in the Finals. Just like Mitchell Robinson and Karl-Anthony Towns, Chet Holmgren and Isaiah Hartenstein are also an inside-out duo. The two OKC 7-footers also have arguably the best passing chemistry of any twin towers frontcourt in the NBA in recent memory.
The Pacers will doubtless have their task cut out in eking four wins out of seven games against a 68-14 team. The OKC Thunder are a whopping -750 favorites heading into the series based on their all-round roster superiority.
Myles Turner has always been linked to trades away from the Indiana Pacers
The longest-tenured Pacer and a survivor of the Paul George era, Turner is probably feeling a sense of accomplishment and belonging with the Indiana Pacers at this current moment. especially after years of trade rumors that he admitted “broke” him mentally.
On the other hand, Turner might be grappling with uncertainty and frustration. He’s in a contract year, set to become an unrestricted free agent in the 2025 offseason, and while there’s optimism about him re-signing with Indiana, interest from teams like the Pistons, Lakers, Hornets, Warriors, Kings, and Magic suggests his future is far from settled.
This looming decision could weigh on him, especially if the Pacers end up losing the Finals. He has a history of feeling like an “energy sucker”, as he candidly admitted in a November 2024 postgame interview. Recent tweets also hint at a slump during the Eastern Conference Finals against the Knicks, with fans noting his hesitancy to shoot and possible lingering effects from an ankle injury sustained earlier in the playoffs.
Nevertheless, Turner has solidified himself as a Pacers lifer to his fan base. There is not much that they can critique him for at this point, given his plucky and enterprising playoff outings.
