“Obviously will be in some pain” Warriors star Stephen Curry drops truth bomb on injury scare in Game 3
Stephen Curry battling for the ball
In addition to losing Game 4 of the NBA Finals to the Boston Celtics, the Golden State Warriors attracted attention after star point guard Stephen Curry dived to challenge a ball and was caught with a visible sign of pain with the game nearly decided. Curry got up and returned to the court after the incident, with fewer than five minutes left in the game and Boston clearly winning by double digits after a time out, he was pulled, along with the rest of the starters from both teams, to relax the rest of the game.
Third quarter heroics by Warriors not enough to stop Celtics in Game 3
The Golden State Warriors are down 2-1 in the NBA Finals after losing 116-100 to the Boston Celtics in Game 3. Boston dominated the first half and fourth quarter, holding off a Warriors comeback in the third quarter that threatened to give Golden State the victory, instead the Celtics were willing to expand their home-court advantage for at least another game. In the third quarter, the Splash Brothers improved on their strong first-half performances, while Brown and Tatum shot just 3-for-8 from the field. The Warriors swiftly closed the gap to single digits, and Curry’s four-point play, along with a foul call on Al Horford, gave Golden State a seven-point edge and the Dubs took the lead shortly after.

Stephen Curry to be sidelined in a crucial Game 4?
During a tussle for a loose ball in the final minutes of Game 3, Stephen Curry appeared to sustain a leg injury. While he was able to stay in the game, there was considerable concern about his injury. Steve Kerr, the head coach, provided some clarification following the game. “The injury didn’t force him out of the game. We’ll know more tomorrow.” said Kerr when asked about Curry’s Game 4 return. Kerr is probably simply being careful about speaking without first obtaining all of the details because he might be putting too much pressure on Curry and the Warriors if he talks about the matter without a definitive answer.
“I’m gonna be alright. I got caught underneath Al. Obviously, will be in some pain, but I’ll be alright. See how I feel tomorrow and get ready for Friday,” Curry told during his press conference. Curry is optimistic about his return in Game 4 whereas the fans and rest of the organization is little too much concerned about the former MVP’s injury.
