Naomi Osaka denied rumors about being pregnant again. In a TikTok clip, Osaka revealed she wouldn’t like to have more children because giving birth was a traumatic experience for her.
Osaka recently played the Cincinnati Masters but couldn’t go past the second match of the qualifying round, which she lost to Ashlyn Krueger in three sets. After the disappointing campaign, she interacted with her fans on TikTok where she showed off her new outfit.
Seeing Osaka, one fan thought the tennis star was pregnant again. Osaka noticed the comment and responded in a video about how she wouldn’t want to experience giving birth again.
I just wanna say I’m not preggos. But if I was, I wouldn’t want many more because giving birth was traumatic. Thank you, though, for your blessings. Yeah.Naomi Osaka said
Osaka is the mother of Shai, to whom she gave birth in July last year. Following that, she decided to take a long break before returning to the courts in January this year.
Naomi Osaka likened her loss in the Cincinnati Open to being postpartum
Naomi Osaka, even though she is back in the Top 100 in the WTA rankings, has been struggling to play consistently. The World No. 90, after her defeat in the qualifying rounds at the Cincinnati Open, shared a social media post in which she talked about her difficulties of playing tennis, as she doesn’t feel like she’s in her body.
The only feeling I could liken how I feel right now to is being postpartum. That scares me because I’ve been playing tennis since I was 3, the tennis racquet should feel like an extension of my hand. I don’t understand why everything has to feel almost brand new again.Naomi Osaka said
Osaka started her campaign on the North American hard-court swing by playing in the Canadian Open following the Paris Olympics, where she lost in the first round to Angelique Kerber. In Montreal, the 26-year-old beat Ons Jabeur in the Round of 64 before getting knocked out of the tournament with a straight-set loss to Elise Mertens in the next round.
The Cincinnati Open served as the last practice tournament before the US Open. Osaka, a four-time Grand Slam champion, lifted the title at Flushing Meadows twice, in 2018 and 2020. Apart from the two US Open trophies, the Japanese won the Australian Open in 2019 and 2021.
