“Andre Agassi, Maria Sharapova and…” Naomi Osaka reveals what her dream dinner gathering will look like

In every sport, players of the current generation wish to have played against or met with legends of their game. For four-time Grand Slam champion Naomi Osaka, her dinner list includes the likes of Maria Sharapova, Andre Agassi, and Chinese legend Li Na.
Former World No. 1 Agassi won eight Grand Slam titles, Sharapova won 36 career titles, including five Majors, and Li Na made history by becoming the first Chinese player to win a Grand Slam.
Osaka, who recorded her first Wimbledon win in five years on Mondy (July 1), was asked by reporters who she would like to have a friendly dinner with. She was quick to name Agassi, Sharapova, and Li Na in her reply.

When asked for her thoughts on Li Na’s sense of humor, the former World No.1 stated that she loved her on-court interviews the most.

I love it. I remember I used to watch so many on court interviews, any kind of interviews from her. I really think she’s one of the best.

Osaka defeated World No. 53 Diane Parry in the opening round at Wimbledon 2024. She needed one hour and 32 minutes to win 6-1, 1-6, 6-4 and book her spot in the second round.

I’m really excited to be here and it’s funny, Wimbledon was the first tournament I watched after pregnancy and my daughter’s turning one tomorrow so, I’m really glad to still be here.

The former US Open champion will face Emma Navarro in the second round at Wimbledon. The American eased past China’s Wang Qiang in straight sets in her opening-round contest.
