The 2024 NASCAR Cup season has been a story of what if for Bubba Wallace. The 23XI Racing driver came in with a lot of hopes, but failed to produce performance strong enough earn him a spot in the last-16. The mistakes from the driver as well as his No:23 crew when they had shot at winning races bit the hard at the end of the day.

Bubba Wallace was heartbroken over the disappointing results and his teammate Tyler Reddick winning the regular season championship made the day tough for him. He went on to share his emotions on social media, as he posted an image of him being said with a caption explaining the cost of completing one’s goals.

His wife Amanda Wallace reshared and shared her message via an Instagram story. She admitted that it was tough night for them after coming this close to the goal working hard the whole regular season.  She also admitted that though the No:23 team will be in the fight for race wins in the last 10 races, not being in the playoff hurts.

Denny Hamlin explains how Bubba Wallace could have been on Martin Truex Jr.’s spot

The 23XI Racing boss Denny Hamlin shared his verdict on Bubba Wallace performance and admitted that the lack of consistency earlier in the season caused his failure. He pointed out that the No:23 team would have been on Martin Truex Jr.’s spot in the championship table if they maximized on points earlier in the season.

Certainly, I feel like if he’s had the performance that he has over the last 10 weeks you know he would have been in Martin Truex’s spot or better but it just took a little while for that 23 team to get going this year and now they’re under the gun in the last hour.

The JGR veteran does have a point as Bubba Wallace taking too much time in the start of the season hurts him every year. Going into the 2025 season, it will one aspect of the 23XI driver they have to work really hard on.
