“They are preparing for the future,” Dale Earnhardt Jr. shuffles the entire JRM crew-chief roaster after the disappointing  2022 Xfinity championship lost

Dale Earnhardt Jr. went into the 2022 Xfinity series season finale with a firm belief that he could go back home with the championship. Three of the four championship chasers in the finale were driving for his team, Junior Motorsports. Dale Jr. left home disappointed as JGR driver Ty Gibbs dominated the race to win the championship.

JRM drivers Noah Gragson and Justin Allgaier were playing catch up while the third driver Josh Berry was now here to be seen. They will have an entirely new roaster going into the 2023 season. Noah Gregson has earned a call to the cup series and he will be replaced by former JGR driver Brandon Jones.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. has changed the crew chief lineup as well. Justin Allgaier, the team’s championship hope for 2022 will be managed by Jim Pohlman, who was signed this year from RCR. Allgaier crew chief will move to Jason Burdett will manage the newcomer driver Brandon Jones.

Mardy Lindley will leave KBM and rejoin Sam Mayer. Mayer’s current crew chief Taylor Moyer will move to Josh Berry’s team. Mike Bumgarner, the current No:8 team crew was promoted to the position of Director of Competition with the team.

How NASCAR Twitter reacted to Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s new crew chief roster

Fans on Twitter had a sportive reaction to the changed lineup. Most fans were pleased to see Allgaier having a crew chief change. Fans hope the No:7 team can solve their poor qualifiers form. Some fans were happy to see Jason Burdett moving on from the No:7 team. They hope he will have a better run with Jones.
