Joe Gibbs has now readdressed Busch’s exit after the veteran’s recent claims. He pointed out that the 2022 season has been challenging for both the team and the driver. All their efforts to keep the 15-year partnership together didn’t work out. The failure put everyone associated with JGR under much stress to overcome the loss.
“Over this last year, it’s really been hard on both sides. We tried extremely hard to get everything put together so we could stay together, and we just weren’t able to get that done, and so that was a lot of work, stress, trying to go through that,” Joe Gibbs said.
