AJ Allmendinger Slams Next-Gen Cars’ ECR Engine After Kansas disappointment

AJ Allmendinger suffered from an extremely disappointing end to his race at the AdventHealth 400 early on. The Kaulig Racing star’s race ended in just seven laps as the ECR engine of the No.16 Chevrolet blew up, causing him to retire so soon. Allmendinger immediately took the team radio and lambasted the engine that ended his race without him being at any fault.

AJ Allmendinger‘s lash out on the team radio against the ECR engines was reminiscent of Ross Chastain‘s complaints about the Trackhouse’s Qualifying woes, concerning the same engines. Hence, it is evident that the Carolina-based giant is unable to put forth worthy power units for the teams and drivers. Allmendinger didn’t hesitate to single out ECR and hurl abuses towards them for their poorly performing engine.

Soon after the ECR engine of the #16 chassis blowing up, AJ Allmendinger took to the team radio and pointed out that they ‘f**king suck’. The 43-year-old was then questioned if he had lost his power, which wasn’t evident in the beginning. To this, he made a sarcastic remark and highlighted that it was shocking that the ECR engines performed poorly once again.

Hey ECR, you guys f***ing suck, Yeah, shockingly (lost the engine).

AJ Allmendinger said on the team radio.

The Kaulig Racing star didn’t stop there as he still wasn’t done with his rant on the sub-par performance of the engines. Allmendinger couldn’t believe the situation and questioned if it was even real life. The 43-year-old further blurted out some expletives towards ECR and their poor engines. The No.16 driver likely said some more strongly worded comments, which were thankfully not shown on the live stream.

I mean, what … f*** you guys!

AJ Allmendinger added.

Kyle Busch also takes a massive dig at ECR engine’s performance

Even Kyle Busch is a victim of the poor performance of the ECR engines, as he has remained very critical of the next-gen cars as well. The No.8 driver suffered from a woeful end to his race in Kansas after the car failed to perform well against his rivals. Hence, even Busch joined AJ Allmendinger’s bandwagon in criticizing the deteriorating pace of the engines.

Kyle Busch took to X and shared his frustrations from his poor outing in Kansas. The #8 driver labeled the entire situation as ‘unf**king believable’ as he expected a much better performance this time around. However, the car performed extremely subpar as he could only finish in P21 by the end. His winless streak extended to over 69 as he continues to face struggles in performance. The 40-year-old sarcastically thanked NASCAR and other parties involved as the car ‘sucked’ so bad.

Unf***ing believable, This car sucks so bad. Thank you, NASCAR.

Kyle Busch said, as reported by @NASCARBowles/X.

A majority of the drivers have been criticizing the ECR engines for a very long time now. The Carolina-based giant will soon be forced to listen to the negative feedback and work on the performance. As things currently are, the Next-Gen cars might be the most criticized cars of any generation in NASCAR. Hence, time will tell whether these engines find any sort of improvement to help their drivers score well.
