The 2025 NASCAR Cup Series season so far hasn’t been kind to 2012 Champion Brad Keselowski. He came into the year hoping to have a strong year, following the impressive 2024 season, which was his best ever season with RFK Racing he co-owns. He finished outside the top-20 in 6 of the last 8 races and his best finish so far has been a P11 at Las Vegas.
Brad Keselowski addressed the poor situation he found himself in and has a mature take about it. In a recent interview he highlighted that he has fast cars in the 2025 season but hasn’t been able to secure top 10 finishes taking advantage of it. He believes in the last few seasons RFK was punching above their weight with consistent top 10 finishes, despite having slower cars.
I think with maturity, and certainly age is a part of that, you learn what things to worry about and what things not to worry about. If we had a season where we had less speed, where we’re running 10th or 15th in the races, and we were getting fifth to 10th place finishes but weren’t fast enough to earn those, I would probably be more concerned than what I am now.
Brad Keselowski said via RACER.
Further talking about the point, the No:6 Ford mustang driver asserted that his finishes in the 2025 season so far has been horrendous despite having fast cars. He admitted that the reason behind their poor streak is the lack of proper execution on the weekends, which is hard to achieve unlike finding raw speed with the car.
We have faster cars but are getting horrendous finishes out of them because you know that execution is something you can find more easily than perhaps just overall potential and raw speed. I feel pretty confident in that.
Brad Keselowski asserted.
He then pointed out that he isn’t as worried about the poor form, unlike in the past and believes his team can click in any minute if they can find the correct fix to their execution issues. He is confident that they can get back to performing on the consistent levels and become legitimate championship contenders sooner than later.
So, I guess I’m maybe less worried than some people think I should be because I feel like this team can click at any minute, and when it does, it can rattle off wins, top fives, top 10s, and the consistency that we need to be a legitimate contender.
Brad Keselowski added.
What is bothering Brad Keselowski the most in the 2025 season?
In the same interview, the former Cup champion explained what is bothering him the most in the 2025 season. He admitted that he hasn’t bene able to produce in the qualifying this year and it is bothering him a lot. Better executing the qualifying the start they need to get their season back on track.

I’m sweating not being fast in qualifying; I need to find qualifying pace. That probably bothers me more than anything because, generally, your execution improves, particularly in Cup, when your qualifying improves. It’s easier to execute when you start closer to the front.
Brad Keselowski said.
The comments from the RFK owner driver proves the team needs to work extra hard in the pits and the veteran has to work on his race craft to get back to winning ways. It will be interesting to see how long it would take him to do it.
