When Justin Haley announced the move to Rick Ware Racing in 2023, the entire NASCAR community was shocked until the partnership deal with RFK Racing was revealed. The Ford teams’ co-owner Brad Keselowski saw the youngster as their future and Haley would have been an RFK driver if the team expanded operations as rumored in 2025.

But ahead of the Bristol cup weekend it was announced that Spire Motorsports and Rick Ware Racing has inked deal that will see them swap Justin Haley and Corey LaJoie.  The former’s decision to sign with Spire was influenced by HMS owner Rick Hendrick, who has offered the racer big opportunities for the future.

While talking about the move, Keselowski admitted that RFK Racing had nothing to offer that would keep Haley contracted to them compared to the deal he got at Spire, with the backing of HMS. the 2012 cup champion and his team understand and respect the decision, as they don’t have anything better to give the racer.

Justin had a career opportunity that wasn’t anything we could match. To be part of Rick Hendrick’s deal there and what that means for him after [20]25, that’s their announcement to have. Certainly everybody, I think, can respect and understand that.
Brad Keselowski told Bob Pockrass.

The veteran racer is coming into this weekends with his own personal demons. He is one of the drivers with the biggest chance of getting eliminated from the playoffs, and coming into Bristol he has the massive talks of outscoring fellow veterans Denny Hamlin and Martin Truex Jr. Despite the struggles he is hopeful about the comeback.

I’ve been fortunate enough to win my way out of that hole. I’ve been on the other side of it. Those are tough days that test you to the fullest extent as a person and as a team. And when it goes your way, it is one of the most rewarding feelings you’ll ever have.
Brad Keselowski said.

The 2012 Cup champion still has a good shot at getting ought of the playoff mess as he is going to a track where he has solid experience in. It will be interesting to see how Keselowski will perform in the coming Sunday and if he can get out of the mess.
