Formula 1 has currently stolen the spotlight all around the world following the introduction of the 2026 regulations. Many drivers, especially Max Verstappen, have been very critical of the new rules and how they are very complex. Now, RFK Racing star Brad Keselowski has hilariously invited the Dutchman to try his hand at the pinnacle of stock racing if he isn’t satisfied with F1.
NASCAR is currently suffering from issues of its own, especially after the 23XI-FRM charter lawsuit. The sport went through an extremely controversial phase and is still recovering from it. However, the racing side of things is definitely enjoyable, and Max Verstappen could achieve success in stock racing if he ever tried it out.
Brad Keselowski is open to the idea of Max Verstappen racing for Ford in NASCAR in the near future. Given Red Bull’s current collaboration with the American giant to develop power units in the 2026 season, it will be even more exciting. Keselowski noted that his DMs were always open and asked Verstappen to simply text him when he felt ready to race in NASCAR.

Brad Keselowski said via X, @keselowski.
For now, Max Verstappen has no plans to race in NASCAR, even for a one-off feature race. The Dutchman had previously asserted that he was the least interested in Cup Racing, especially because of the Oval circuits. However, Verstappen has raced in the GT3 and other forms of motorsport, but he has yet to make his debut in stock racing. As such, the four-time F1 champ could turn to NASCAR if he feels utterly disappointed with the F1 regulations.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. opens up on Max Verstappen trying out NASCAR
Given Max Verstappen’s worldwide popularity as a Formula 1 driver, it isn’t surprising that the entire NASCAR community is supporting the notion of the Dutchman trying out stock racing. Following Keselowski, Dale Earnhardt Jr. has now responded warmly to the possibility of Verstappen coming out and racing in the pinnacle of stock racing.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. simply noted that he would love to see Max Verstappen come and try his hand at NASCAR racing. The 51-year-old continued that Verstappen was an incredible athlete, and his curiosity and work ethic would help him achieve success in any form of motorsport. Regardless of the awesome support, it is highly unlikely that the Dutchman fully switch to racing stock cars. World’s fastest single seater challengers is where his heart’s at.
I would love to see Max Verstappen come and try it, He is incredible and I think his curiosity and work ethic would play a big role in making him successful.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. told Hard Rock Bet.
The 2026 season of Formula 1 is certainly receiving more negative opinions than positives. However, the season will progress over the year, and drivers will look at it with open minds. For now, NASCAR is probably better off dealing with issues of its own and not focusing on other motorsports. The Daytona 500 is up next, and everyone is looking forward to the iconic race.
