One of the major criticisms coming from the NASCAR community over the years has been the alleged selective enforcement of cautions. The significant figures of the sport have been demanding consistency many years and via his comments on social media, 2012 Cup champion Brad Keselowski has joined the discussion.
It all started when a NASCAR fan on X (@whatsundersteer) shared a snippets of Brad Keselowski’s in-car video from last weekend’s Goodyear 400 at Darlington where the caution wasn’t called despite the RFK Racing driver had a loss wheel. He named NASCAR’s competition director Jusan Hamilton and demanded change.
I’m naming names. Sorry. I nearly don’t have the words for this.

This made another fan @JustinMThaler to highlight how Keselowski often doesn’t get caution. He tagged the owner-driver in his comments and it got the attention of the future Hall of Famer. The veteran addressed the situation and admitted that he is okay with him not getting the caution calls as well as not getting questionable penalties, unlike many.
It doesn’t bother me when yellows don’t get thrown for me or I get penalties that are questionable.

But he does have issues with what he sees as selective enforcement or inconsistent enforcement of the rules. Brad Keselowski pointed out that there have been many incidents in the last few years were NASCAR made poor decisions and he is mad about it. He seems to believe there is something needs to be done to ensure better decision making.
IT MAKES ME MAD AS HELL when it’s not the same for others, which has been the case too many times over the last few years.

Brad Keselowski shares his thoughts on upcoming Bristol race
The 2025 NASCAR Cup season so far hasn’t been kind to the championship winning driver, as he has failed to be an influencing part of any races so far this season. Both him and his team has been under delivering. The time has come for them to step up the game.

The upcoming Bristol race, ahead of the Easter break, will be a good track for him to get the momentum and confidence back. Talking about his performance over the years at the track, he pointed out that he had how he had mixed results at the track and how often his good runs gets over shadowed by bad races.
This has been a good track for me. We have several good runs here. Never enough. You know, the good runs are always overshadowed by the bad runs. And we ran so well here in 24 in the spring race and then came here in the Far East and had a poor showing.
Brad Keselowski said.
This roller coaster run frustrates RFK Racing. But they are confident about getting the redemption run the needed sooner than later and having comparatively better runs in the last two weeks gives him the confidence for the reminder of the season.
And that was frustrating for us. But I’m encouraged by some of the things I see that we’ll be able to come here and have two great runs this year.
Brad Keselowski added.
The comments from the Owner driver about his performance so far seems to spot on and shows he is ready to work extra hard to get back racing for wins yet again. It would be interesting to see how long it will take to team to get back to the front row.
