The NASCAR Cup garage is at Talladega Motor Speedway for the 10th race of the 2025 season and RFK Racing Brad Keselowski is one of the drivers that is most excited about. He is most successful active racer at Dega with six wins and is coming into the season expecting to score a 7th win that will end his long winless streak with RFK.
Ahead of the race, the 2012 Cup champion highlighted how Dega is a track where anyone with a good car can secure the victory. Brad Keselowski then went into explain how the Next-Gen cars have changed the dynamic at the track, with the final pit-stop becoming more important than any other factors during the race.
I still think Talladega is one of those racetracks where anybody can win. Next Gen has been a little bit fickle at Talladega in the way that it values different things than the car before did. It seems to really value the last pit stop and executing that at a very high level and then the fuel saving stuff, which I think is gonna be the word everybody hates after this weekend.
Brad Keselowski said via Speedway Media.
So, the racing has become much different from what it was half a decade ago, owing to the introduction of the seventh-generation cars. But this is another factor that makes racing at the iconic track special, as the style of racing has evolved many times with in the last two decades.
So, it’s different. It’s a different type of racing than what Talladega was four or five years ago before the Next Gen car, but I think that’s part of what makes Talladega special is just how the racing there has evolved at least a half dozen times since I’ve been in Cup…
Brad Keselowski asserted.
Further talking about the point, Keselowski admitted that many likes racing at Dega for this exact same reason. He then highlighted that out of the 39-driver set to race on Sunday, 33 of them will have a realistic shot at winning.
There are certainly types that you like more than others of racing there, but I do think that it’s a place where I think of the 39 entries, 33 of them have a realistic shot of winning.
Brad Keselowski added.
Brad Keselowski believes the racing has become more about pushing
In the same interview, Keselowski discussed his thoughts on how drafting has evolved in Superspeedways. He highlighted that with the Next-Gen cars, drivers are more reliant on getting a physical push and only the two lanes are in play in the coming out of the final corner.

Yes and no. This car is more reliant on getting a physical push, where we went through an era where the cars were not quite as reliant on that…really it’s about the front two lanes and how they are able to get off of turn four and the physical contact between the cars.
Brad Keselowski said.
The No:6 Ford Mustang driver seems to understand the challenges ahead of him and is determined to get back to winning ways, at a track that has yielded him the most success. It will be interesting to see if the veteran will finally be able to get season back on track.
