Motorsports is one of the sports in the world, where the athletes with true potential can make it into the top-tier at a young age. But this comes with its own challenges, as the young racers might not always be ready to face the veterans and often cause unintended chaos and the same applies for the premier stock car racing series, NASCAR Cup series also shares the same factors.
Recently, 2012 Cup champion Brad Keselowski, has shared his feelings about the need for changes regarding the age in the top tier. He pointed out that the premier division should have rules like in NFL, where there should be a minimum 20-year age restriction. The RFK No:6 Ford driver is also open to the age barrier to be 21 or 22.
He went onto to explain the different reasons behind his demand. Keselowski pointed out that the lack of maturity on and off the track, is a big issue with the young racers. The teens need more racing experience to learn racecraft and just comprehend what is happening on the track.
