2021 NASCAR Cup Series champion Kyle Larson is one of the most talented racers in motorsports and many sees him as one the fastest, if not the fastest racers in the world. The No:5 Hendrick Motorsports No:5 Chevy driver sees himself as the most versatile in the world, owing to his ventures in different championships.
Kyle Larson’s most recent outing came in December 2024, where he won the High Limit Racing special Sprint car racing event at Perth Motorplex, Australia. He won the event, organized by his own series, overcoming the strong fight from champion Aussie sprint car racers despite starting the race on P6.
Larson’s brother-in-law Brad Sweet, who is a champion Sprint car racer and the co-owner of the series, has nothing but praise for the Chevy drivers’ impressive performances. He asserted that the HMS driver is a great ambassador for Sprint racing and pointed out that he sees Larson as an addict to racing, as well as global star.
Kyle is such a great ambassador for sprint car racing… sometimes I don’t think he knows exactly how much he brings to the sport. He’s like a kid — he’s an addict to racing. … He’s turned into a global star.

Kyle Larson didn’t surprise Brad Sweet at Perth
In the same conversation, while talking about the impressive performance, Brad Sweet pointed out that Larson is someone who is really strong on the track regardless of the car. Seeing his brother in laws dominating runs over the years, Sweet is no longer surprised to see him winning races overcoming tough challenges.

Kyle’s just so captivating–the fact that he does all the forms of racing he does and do it so competitively. He takes a car he’s never driven, and in three nights he wins the race from the third or fourth row. Nothing really surprises me with Kyle anymore. I’ve just learned to smile when he does it.

The comments from the Sprint car racing legend shows how much he respects Kyle Larson and how big is the NASCAR champions’ contribution to the sport. It would be interesting to see what more the HMS driver can offer the star driver.
