Bubba Wallace claims “smart people” at 23XI Racing needs to “really dig deep” with his playoff dreams in jeopardy

23XI Racing star driver Bubba Wallace came into the 2024 season with the hopes of continuing the impressive season he had in 2023.  He was able to make it into the playoff last season on points and extended his stay till the R-12. But so far in this season hasn’t lived up to the expectations, while his teammate Tyler Reddick has secured his play-off spot with a win at Talladega.

While talking about the results and his performance in the season so far, as he found himself over 50 points off the cut-off for the last-16 after the race at Nashville, Bubba Wallace admitted that he is missing the vibe from 2023.  He reckons that the team has been coming close to hitting the mark multiple times in the last few weeks, but it hasn’t materialized yet.

We're missing a little bit from last year — just feelwise, it's kind of been our M.O. the last month or so we've just been so close to hitting it. But then we try to do one thing and it goes the opposite way.
Bubba Wallace told Fox Sports.

He went onto point out that he and the No:23 team has to work really hard and dig deep to get the desirable results. Wallace also asserted that his team smart people that could be produce him success.

Denny Hamlin wants his team to start performing better soon

Co-owner of 23XI Racing Hamlin, while talking about the incident pointed out that he told Bubba Wallace that the situation is now and never for him. He is expecting the team to perform and be productive in the remaining races of the 2024 season.

I mentioned to him this week that you have just a handful of races that we have got to get it done. It certainly means a lot to us to make the playoffs and certainly to him to make the playoffs. We expect that from our cars, so they know they've got to perform.
Denny Hamlin said.

Bubba Wallace has to win a race to secure his spot in the playoff and he got just seven races left in the regular season to do it. He has to clean up their racing and the team has given him faster cars capable of winning if they want to make it into the last-16.
