The NASCAR Cup Series race at Pocono saw fewer dramas compared to the races from the handful of races before. Team Penske Racing’s Ryan Blaney was able to pull-off a perfect race and use a god strategy to pull of an impressive race win. It was his second win of the 2024 season, with the first one coming at Iowa.
Ryan Blaney was over the moon after the win and celebrated it with his heart out, as he has missed out on a couple win since Iowa because of minor mistakes. He was celebrating with his crew, the fans and even gave away the checkered flag to fan during the celebration. 23XI Racing’s Bubba Wallace joined the No:12 during the happy moment as well.

P10 at Pocono, we’ll take it. Congrats brother Blaney.Bubba Wallace captioned the video he shared on X.
The duo is one of the closest friends in the NASCAR as they grew up racing together from their teenage years and spent a lot of time together tackling challenges. This isn’t the first-time they were seen together celebrating.
Bubba Wallace is back on playoff hunt after his rivals had poor races
Coming into the race Bubba Wallace had limited expectations as he started the race on P29 over a poor qualifying run. He was able to get into P10 surviving some wrecks, and his main rivals Ross Chastain and Ty Gibbs having disappointing races helped him close the gap on them with just five more races left in the regular season.
It’s about points, so we didn’t capitalize on points, but (Ross Chastain) had a bad day, (Ty Gibbs) had a bad day. It was a nice rebound. Usually, it’s the opposite. We start really good and end up fading and giving up a lot track position. Here, we were able to call a good strategy and hang on.Bubba Wallace said.
The No:23 Toyota driver is currently 27 points off the cut-off line with Ross Chastain at p16. If he able to pull-off a strong performance like he did in 2023, he can secure the playoff spot he should secure considering his teammate Tyler Reddick is on top-5 in the points table.
