The 2025 NASCAR Cup season so far has been impressive for 23XI Racing driver Bubba Wallace, marking the best start to the season he had in his whole career in the elite division. He was one of the front runners on Sunday, alongside pole winner Alex Bowman and his Hendrick Motorsports teammate Kyle Larson.
Alongside Ryan Blaney, the trio had a solid run, but the champion among the three Kyle Larson won the race, showcasing his dominant talent. Talking about the disappointment, Bubba Wallace admitted that he had a game changer No:23 Toyota that helped him to stay upfront but highlighted that he need work on his racing as a last-minute mistake cost him P2 to Alex Bowman.
They got us up there and gave me a shot. Our Toytoa was just a game-changer. Got out front. I didn’t think I burned my stuff up to start that last run, but I need to go back and study and obviously not hit the fence and allow (Bowman) to get there.
Bubba Wallace said post-race.
He went onto highlight how the 2025 season so far has been a grind for him, and how he finally happy that they got to end the streak of getting kicked in the teeth. Finally finishing the race in a good spot makes it a good day for him.
All in all, hats off to my 23 group here. It’s been a grind all year long. We’ve been getting kicked in the teeth the last stage of every race. Finally close one out. This feels good. I can’t hang my head over this. It’s a good day.

Bubba Wallace is impressed by his crew over major pit-stop performance increase
One of the major issues, Bubba Wallace has been facing since he started racing for 23XI Racing has been the in-ability of his team to perform in the pit-road under pressure. The team finally stepped up to the level they should on Sunday at Homestead.

Talking about the podium finish, Wallace pointed out that it was good day for him, showing up with speed. He was looking to end the race as the winner, or at least in good track position from the start.
It was really good. We showed up here in Miami and had speed. That’s the first box you want to check. We fired off just OK, and so I was just praying for track position.
Bubba Wallace said.
The No:23 pit-crew has been on fire and that amount work they have done alongside the investments over the years seems to be finally paying of for them. Wallace is confident that his team is getting more competitive on the stops every other week.
My pit crew has been on fire. Tremendous amount of work has gone into the last five years of this team to get where we’re at. We’re not where we want to be, but we’re damn sure competitive each and every stop.
Bubba Wallace added.
The comment from Wallace shows the confidence he has on his team, and it is big factor that will help him to thrive in the remaining races of the season. It will be interesting to see if the current momentum will help him end the two-year winless streak he is in.
