Bubba Wallace created history last weekend after he made his way to Victory Lane at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The 23XI Racing star became the first African-American to win the iconic Brickyard 400. Now, Wallace decided to show off his latest trophy alongside his previous silverware.
The 31-year-old had one of the best weekends of his career at Indianapolis. After a 100 race winless run, Bubba Wallace desperately needed this victory. Following the race, he had an emotional celebration on-track with his wife and son, creating a beautiful spectacle for fans.
Wallace is now back home with his family, cherishing the special moments from the last race. The 23XI Racing star did not waste time in adding the special Brickyard 400 trophy to his cabinet.
On X, Bubba Wallace flaunted the trophy’s place in his entire collection, a large cabinet filled with silverware earned throughout his career. Moreover, the 31-year-old even kept a pair of clown shoes sent to him by sponsor McDonald’s into the collection, making for a rather amusing sight.

Bubba Wallace exposes ‘self-hate’ before Brickyard victory
Wallace has had a rollercoaster of a career in the Cup Series. The 31-year-old has shown glimpses of brilliance on several occasions, but never truly established himself as a title contender yet. Luckily, Bubba Wallace has been supported by Denny Hamlin‘s 23XI Racing, ensuring that he is able to get the most out of himself.

Before the Indianapolis race, the 23XI Racing star was right at the cusp of making it to the Playoffs. Without a race victory, Wallace was relying on the points cut-off to make it to the business end of the tournament. Now, the triumph at Brickyard 400 has secured Bubba Wallace’s place in the final ten races.
However, during his way to victory, Bubba Wallace doubted himself constantly. The 31-year-old is infamous for being harsh on himself and this continued even when he led the race in Indianapolis. Wallace confessed that he hated the way he approaches such situations. Though, he did point out that this mindset is meant to bring the best out of himself in all circumstances.
I’m just proud of the team, proud of the effort put in each and every week, people pushing me to be better. The biggest thing that gets lost is believing in self. I’ll say those last 20 laps there was ups and downs of telling myself, You’re not going to be able to do it. I hate that I’m that way. I push myself to be the absolute best.

Certainly, Bubba Wallace’s Brickyard 400 victory has transformed his 2025 Cup Series campaign. The 31-year-old no longer has the pressure of making it to the Playoffs. Moreover, his race has once again proven to the field that he is indeed capable of some incredible drives even in difficult situations. However, the challenges for Wallace are only set to increase. After all, competing in the Playoffs is of no worth if he can’t get a real shot at winning the championship this season.
