Bubba Wallace has enjoyed quite an eventful career in the 2025 season. Wallace not only achieved some notable results in the year, but also fathered a baby boy, Becks Hayden. As such, the 32-year-old is definitely feeling extremely positive following the great events in his life. Now, the 23XI Racing star opens up on how his life and overall mentality changed after becoming a father.

Bubba Wallace wasn’t always as successful and positive in his career. During incidents on track, Wallace used to lash out on the team radio out of anger and wasn’t as delightful to deal with. At times, the 32-year-old even broke things out of spite, which caused his wife, Amanda Wallace, to feel terrible and sad for his husband. However, things are completely different now, and for the better.

Recently, Bubba Wallace won at the historic Daytona 500 and created history after becoming the first driver to win a NASCAR race at the circuit. Moreover, his son Becks was present to witness the historic event as well.

Now, Wallace has undergone a massive mental change and feels more patient and positive, no matter the disappointing circumstances. Speaking on changes after being a father, Bubba Wallace hilariously revealed that he returned to the bus after an incident and was surprisingly calmer than his wife, Amanda Wallace.

The 23XI Racing star added that it was now difficult to deal with Amanda, as over the years she had learnt how to deal with the former, but not the other way around. As such, Wallace revealed that it was hilarious in a way, especially after he returned from the Kansas wreck and was cool as a cucumber.

I get back to the bus now and Amanda is more upset than I am, It’s difficult to navigate that because over the years she’s known this is what we have and I have to make this work. … Now I walk back, like after Kansas, and I was fine, and she’s beside herself. It’s kind of funny.

Bubba Wallace told ESPN.

Bubba Wallace’s spotter labels his emotional turnaround as ‘incredible’

Bubba Wallace’s spotter, Freddie Kraft, has worked with the former for quite some time now. As such, he is well versed in Wallace’s ways to deal with anger and frustration on track. Even Kraft has seen significant changes in the 32-year-old after becoming a father. As such, the spotter labels the driver’s mentality change as incredible after fathering Becks.

Freddie Kraft noted that now, Bubba Wallace underwent the high moments much higher than before, and the low points were nothing like before. Wallace used to limit his answers to one word or no words when frustrated, but now it was completely different, and he chit-chatted a lot.

The positive change happened because after a disappointing race, he was either going back to the bus to meet Becks or on the phone with the child. As such, Kraft highlighted that the little boy made incredible changes in the father.

Now it seems like the highs are even higher and the lows are never as low as they’ve been before. In the past, if we had a really bad day, I would get one-word answers or no answer at all until the next day. Now I can text him and we’re joking around afterward, and I think it’s strictly because he’s either going back to the bus and seeing Becks, or he’s on the phone with Becks before we get on the airplane.

Freddie Kraft said via ESPN.

Certainly, parenthood brings some wonderful moments in a couple’s life, and Bubba Wallace and Amanda Wallace are definitely feeling it. The couple is going to be great parents, apparent by Wallace’s massive mental change. As such, Becks will definitely be a regular visitor to races and support his father from the pit lane, and hope for his safety on track.
