The Daytona International Speedway always packs some exciting action for fans. NASCAR drivers are just inches away from disaster at this superspeedway. At the Coke Zero Sugar 400, a massive multi-car wreck took place on Stage 1. Now, Bubba Wallace has taken the blame for triggering this pile-up.

During the race, Bubba Wallace was at the front of the field. The 23XI Racing star seemingly lost control of the car and collided with his rivals, leading to a massive 12-car wreck on Lap 27. The incident even roped in the likes of Denny Hamlin, Kyle Larson, Joey Logano, and Kyle Busch.

While Bubba Wallace has already secured a spot in the Playoffs with his victory at Indianapolis, the wreck paints a bad picture on his run. The incident ended hopes of Playoffs for a handful of drivers.

After the race, Bubba Wallace claimed that the hit from Kyle Larson in the No. 5 car pushed him down on-track. This put Wallace right in the path of the No. 12 car of Ryan Blaney. The No. 23 driver was left frustrated with the entire ordeal.

The hit from the 5 shoved me down there, and it was like I got shoved up by the 22 when the 12 moved up. He was trying to just move up and take a lane, but oh well. Man, I hate it. 22nd to the lead in a short amount of time.

Bubba Wallace told Parker Kligerman.

Wallace was apologetic over the incident. He claimed that he was willing to take the blame for triggering the wreck. The 23XI Racing star asserted that things were just going too well for him in Stage 1 and something like this was bound to happen. Nevertheless, he was going to move his focus to the first Playoff face at Darlington.

I hate that. I’ll take the blame for it, unfortunately. Just a crap deal. Everything was going too good, too early to be all true. So something was bound to happen. I hate that we were involved in it, but hopefully, we can get the 45 in still. So, all in all, we’re locked in. Let’s get focused for Darlington, and I’m okay.

Bubba Wallace explained.

Bubba Wallace’s spotter puts blame on Kyle Larson for Daytona wreck

Bubba Wallace might be willing to move past the wreck by taking the blame. However, it seems that the 23XI Racing garage is having of it. Wallace’s spotter Freddie Kraft has now put the blame on Kyle Larson. After the wreck, Larson had claimed that he was clueless over why Wallace was so close to him before the wreck.

I don’t know why Bubba was crowding him so much.

On the other hand, Freddie Kraft Made it clear that it was Larson in the No. 5 car that was trying to force itself in the middle of the field, leaving no room for Bubba Wallace. Thus, the No. 23 spotter seems to be in no mood to see Kyle Larson leave scot-free.

5 [Kyle Larson] just tried to *** force middle there.

Freddie Kraft said, as quoted by Steven Taranto.

As is the case in NASCAR, drivers and teams often hit out at each other over wrecks. While this time Bubba Wallace has accepted the blame, but his team seems to have a different opinion. Nevertheless, the field will move past this incident with the highly-anticipated Playoffs right around the corner. Perhaps, Wallace and Larson will get a chance to face each other soon.
