The NASCAR Cup Series race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, the Brickyard 400, on Sunday witnessed 23XI Racing’s Bubba Wallace producing a clinical to secure a win and place himself in the 2025 playoffs. He had to survive a strong Kyle Larson, in two overtime restarts to end his 100-race winless streak and win his maiden crown jewel event win.

Bubba Wallace, being one of the most hated drivers in current grid due to reasons beyond his control as well as some insensitive factors, didn’t get the best of welcome during the drivers’ intros as usual as there were a lot boos. These same set of fans were really disappointed, watching the impressive run by the No:23 Toyota Camry.

During the final restart, one fan made a hilarious attempt to sabotage Bubba Wallace’s run, which failed incredibly. A beer can that seems to be full was thrown to the track, to the racing line of the No:23 car. Though the car ran over it, nothing significant happen. But there are genuine concerns, as if it caused flat tire, his race would have been ruined.

After the race, Bubba Wallace was asked about his haters response during post-race show by TNT reporter Marty Snider. He had an epic response, asserting how he has already won in life having the best family and how he is happy to chase the new goal post the haters has set after he disappoint them yet again with a solid win at Indy.

It don’t matter. I’m already winning at life. I’ve got the best wife, the best kid. People are always going to say something. I am excited to see how far the goalpost has moved. So, I get to go and chase that now.

Bubba Wallace told TNT reporter Marty Snider.

Bubba Wallace’s close friend Scott McLaughlin also took a shot at haters

One of the first drivers that shared his thoughts online after Bubba Wallace’s maiden win after becoming father to his son Becks, and getting to celebrate it with him in the victory lane, was IndyCar driver Scott McLaughlin. They are great friends, who has been backing each other to thrive for many years.

McLaughlin declared Wallace as the best dad, seeing him lying on the brickyard with Becks on his chest celebrating the win and highlighted how the No:23 Toyota driver has been at odds with the racing gods in the last 100 Cup races. He is happy with seeing one his biggest supporters on the victory lane and then proceeded to taunt the haters.

This guy is the best dad. Has been going through it with the racing gods. Always one of the first people to text me if we have a bad day. So happy for Bdub, a great dude and I hope the haters enjoyed that.

The same feelings can be seen from the many personals that are part of the Bubba Wallace entourage, who has desperately been hoping to see their star driver back on the victory lane. Now with a crown jewel race win to his name, the Toyota drivers is writing a new a special legacy for himself in the sport.

Another major factor that makes the win more special is the fact that, it came in the midst of noise that is around 23XI Racing following the charter loss in the court on the latest chapter of the 23XI-FRM anti-trust lawsuit against NASCAR. Winning the race, as an open team with a lot pressure on his shoulders shows the true competitiveness of the team.
