Caesar Bacarella to make NASCAR comeback after serving suspension for substance abuse

NASCAR 2022 season will officially see lights in the historical Daytona international speedway on February 21 as the Next-Gen cars will hit the Daytona 500 for the first time. The series recently announced the return of a long-time suspended NASCAR driver from Florida.
Caesar Bacarella racer and co-owner Alpha Prime Racing was suspended indefinitely by NASCAR for substance abuse after he claimed he unknowingly took a workout supplement that is on the banned substances list. Caesar Bacarella was enrolled in Road to Recovery program as part of his return.
Caesar Bacarella competed in five Xfinity races in 2021 behind the wheel of the No. 90 Chevrolet, before his suspension with his best finish coming in that’s years season beginner in Daytona 500 with a P12 finish. He will be attempting to qualify for ‘Beef. It’s What’s for Dinner.300 Daytona’ with Alpha Prime Racing in their No. 45 Chevrolet on Feb. 19.
Daytona 500 completely sold out for the 2022 NASCAR cup series season opener
The Next-Gen cars will hit the Daytona international speedway for the official 2022 season beginner and fans are eagerly waiting to see the new cars in action. This enthusiasm and excitement are evident as Daytona 500 is completely sold out for Sunday’s “The Great American Race”.
Daytona International Speedway President Frank Kelleher expressed his excitement about a packed house saying “What an incredible way to begin Speedweeks by announcing that we have completely sold out of the NASCAR Cup Series season-opening DAYTONA 500,”
Frank Kelleher went on to thank fans for their support saying “Our sport is as captivating as ever and we are riding some great momentum from the 2021 season, and the Busch Light Clash at the Coliseum. We are so thankful to the fans who have reserved their place in what will be yet another history-making event at The World Centre of Racing,”
DAYTONA 500 practice will start Tuesday, February 15 followed by Qualifying Wednesday. This will be followed by the Bluegreen Vacations Duel qualifying races on Thursday and Friday. Saturday will host the doubleheader and ARCA Menards event and the Beef. It‘s What‘s For Dinner. 300 followed by the Great American Race on Sunday.
