“There’s Really No Place Better!” Carson Hocevar Signs Mega Contract Extension with Spire Motorsports

Carson Hocevar is one of the biggest talents in the current Cup garage and he is seen as the one of the bonafide superstars the sport needs for the future. He made his debut with Spire Motorsports in 2024 and has been a competitor for race wins despite having Chevy’s with comparatively average pace. Many expected one of the elite teams to sign the youngster, but it might not happen.
In a public statement, Spire Motorsports has revealed that Carson Hocevar has signed a multi-year contract extension that will see him lead the Chevy crew to the next decade. Talking about the extension, the Spire driver asserted that he doesn’t see a better place other that his team to race and highlighted how he sees the senior officials in the team as father figures.
I love to race and there’s really no place better to race than here. This shows we’re all committed and eager to race with each other for a long time. I think of Jeff (Dickerson) as a father figure, but the same could be said for Luke (Lambert, crew chief), Tyler (Green, spotter), Bill (Anthony, Spire Motorsports’ president) and all the No. 77 guys.
Carson Hocevar said via a public statement.
Further talking about the point, he asserted that everyone at Spire has becoming family team him and he is cherishing every moment. The team has evolved a lot since his debut and is slowly becoming consistent contenders. The extension gives him security for the future and he sees it as a dream come true moment.
Everyone in the building, has really become a family to me. Spire is such a different team now compared to how it was my rookie season, and especially when I made my debut in 2023. It’s fun to know I’m going to be around the Cup garage for a long time, and really a dream come true.

Talking about the extension, Jeff Dickerson asserted that it’s a big moment for the team. He pointed out that the extension not only give the team security, but also help the team to make solid plans for the future regard to sponsorship.
It’s a pretty big moment for our company to announce an extension with Carson (Hocevar) that takes us out for multiple years. It’s not just about knowing he’ll be here with us for the long-haul, but it gives our sponsors and competition group the foresight to make their own plans knowing he’s in the seat of the No. 77 as far as we can see.

The veteran owner admitted that having the youngster as his driver has been a rewarding experience and he is proud of Hocevar’s growth as a racer. Just like the young racer sees him as a father figure, he sees him as a son and that makes the extension more special.
It has been an absolutely rewarding experience getting to know Carson and watching him grow up, and learn from the good and bad both at and away from the racetrack. I love him like a son and it means a great deal to me, personally, knowing he’ll be here for several years…

The extension proves Carson Hocevar trust what Spire motorsports is building and sees a good future ahead of him with the team. It would be interesting to see how everything is going to playout for No:77 Chevy team in the coming years.
