Chase Briscoe rates his road course racing skill
Going into the next-weekends race at Roval, with a lot pressure on his shoulders to make it out of the R-12, Chase Briscoe needs to use his road course racing skill to the best. So, he was asked how good of a road course racer he is after the race at Talladega.
Briscoe pointed out that he feels, he is an above average racer but admitted that he hasn’t been able to produce similar success in the Cup level like he did in the lower tier RC events. The Next-Gen car has been one of the major reasons behind him not being as good as he wanted to in these tracks.
The SHR driver admission about the Next-Gen cars are a bit concerning, considering the car is more suitable to race in the road courses. It will be interesting to see if the racer will be able to get over the disadvantage and produce a result good enough to earn him a R-8 entry.
