Chase Briscoe claims he was “always a die-hard” Tony Stewart fan
Ex-SHR driver Chase Briscoe has revealed how he saw NASCAR Hall of Famer Tony Stewart as his hero growing up.

The 2024 NASCAR Cup season marked a massive career shift for Chase Briscoe. He lost his seat at Stewart Haas Racing, after the team decided to cease their operation at the end of the season. So, he signed with Toyota giants Joe Gibbs Racing to replace Martin Truex Jr. for the upcoming 2025 Cup series season.
One of the big things he is going to miss from next year is the opportunity to have his childhood hero Tony Stewart as a mentor, with the Hall of Famer quitting the team and moving on from the sport. In a recent interview Chase Briscoe, asserted that he has always been die hard Stewart fan owing to his success in both NASCAR as well as the Sprint car racing scene.
The ex-Xfinity Series champion cherished seeing Stewart racing in the Sprint series after racing in NASCAR. That’s one of the main reasons behind him becoming a fan of the three times Cup champion. Briscoe’s racing career so far following the same path, makes his connection with the legend special.
Chase Briscoe reveals how his grandfather became a sprint car legend
In the same conversation, Chase Briscoe also explained how another hero of his life, his grandfather became a sprint car racing legend. Richard Briscoe, changed his career to become a race team owner after he lose his best friend in an accident in the second ever race, he was part of. Hence, he decided end his racing career and became a team owner, helping them to win 500 wins.
Richard Briscoe’s team is one of the most accomplished and prestigious one in the sprint car scene. Over the years they have fielded cars for over 13 National Sprint Car Hall of Famers and many other racing superstars. Chase Briscoe will be looking into explaining his grandfather’s legacy with development of the team.
