The NASCSAR drivers’ market was changed forever when Stewart Haas Racing announced that it’s ceasing their operations by the end of 2024. This left four talented SHR driver without a seat for the upcoming season. Chase Briscoe, Noah Gragson and Josh Berry would be prime targets for the teams.

Ahead of this week’s race at Iowa, it was announced that Joe Gibbs Racings Martin Truex Jr. would retire from full-time racing at the end of the season. This makes the No:19 seat the moist converted one open for taking next-season and SHR drivers are rumored to be the front runners. Chase Briscoe, who is the bets driver available in the market, has given an update on his future.  

He asserted that he is pretty close a 2025 deal and feels good about the situation he has found himself in. Briscoe highlighted that there is a lot different factors alongside performance that would affect his decision making. The SHR driver is currently weighting in on the options that are present to him.

I feel like I’m pretty close [to a 2025 deal]. I feel pretty good about it. There’s a lot of different [factors in the decision]. Performance is one thing that definitely [in] weighing the options is something that is important, the future and what the future looks like.

Chase Briscoe details how his current family status would affect the decision

The Ford driver is determined to give the best to his family with the new deal he is about to sign. He has to set up the best for the future the three children he is going to have and this factor would be massive in the decision-making process.

And then obviously, the other part is, what’s going to be the best to provide for my family. With twins on the way, I’m going to have three kids. That is a real thought now, just what’s going to set us up for the future in the best way.

It would be interesting to see how the 2024 silly season would playout and where Briscoe would end up next-season. Chase Briscoe is a driver that any team in the market would like to have, hence he would have the best chance at getting a seat.
