I love the pressure side, but I do think this is probably the most pressure I’ve ever been [under] in my life, as far as professionally. It’s weird because there’s been other times where my career was literally going to be over, right?

Chase Briscoe said via NASCAR.com.

He asserted that the JGR is seat is going to be one where he would have no choice but to perform and there is no excuse if he fails to meet the expectations. Briscoe admitted everywhere he has raced over the years didn’t have the same expectations from him.

But I feel like this is one of those opportunities where if you don’t perform, like, there’s no excuses. Like, you have to perform at JGR. So, from that standpoint, it is different because everywhere else, there’s really not been that expectation.

Chase Briscoe added.

Chase Briscoe admits he wasn’t expected win races at SHR

While talking about the pressure and expectations, Chase Briscoe pointed out that at SHR he wasn’t expected win races and any win was considered a bonus. But now at JGR he is expected to win week in week out, making this uncharted territory for the star driver.

SHR, where we were at as a company was totally different. We weren’t expected, really, to go win. And if you win, then awesome, right? That’s great. But you weren’t expected to go win week in, week out, where at JGR, you are expected to be up front every single weekend. So, from that standpoint, it is going to be totally different than anything I’ve really had in my career

The comment from Briscoe shows not only the expectations of the team but also the ones he had on himself for the 2025 season. It will be interesting to see how the No:19 team would perform in the upcoming season, with Briscoe behind the wheels.
