Joe Gibbs Racing’s Christopher Bell has been one of the best drivers on the grid, since the start of the season. He was the only driver to make it into the Championship-4 in the only two seasons of the Next-Gen era, and is close to making it a third straight time. Though he hasn’t secured a finale spot, he has the best shot considering the +29-point advantage he has from R-8 cutoff line.

Christopher Bell has secured top 10s in all but one race in the playoffs, and with top 5 finishes in the last three races. Though he is happy with the consistency, he admitted that he is concerned about his failure convert the string fights to race wins. Not being able to secure a race win in the post-season seems to affect him.

I wasn’t as fast as some of the other guys…We have seen amazing racing (in the round of 8), that last 8 laps at Homestead was as good as it gets, I enjoy being a fan. There were times in the race where I felt like I could contend, but I couldn’t consistently do it.

Christopher Bell told Fox sports.

While further talking about the point, Bell admitted that feels he doesn’t have the same mojo on restarts as he did in the 2023 season and it is costing him points are wins. There few drivers who are better than him at the moment and he needs to match them consistently to win the championship.

Specifically, after restart, I just didn’t have the mojo I had last year on restarts. There are always a couple cars better than me.

Christopher Bell feels everything is only going to get better for him

The JGR driver feels a lot of better about her Homestead experience, compared to the one in Vegas, though he finished P2 there compared to P4 in Miami. With the better feeling he has now, he ready for the battle or the coming war at Martinsville, with multiple championship favorites being in a desperate situation for race wins.

I feel a lot better today than I did after Las Vegas, that’s for sure, and it’s gonna be a battle. We knew that, I knew that when the checkered flag, flew at Las Vegas that it was going to be a battle to get into the final 4. And that’s the way it should be, I’m excited about it, this round of 8…It’s gonna be a war at Martinsville and I’m excited for it.

The No:20 Toyota driver seems to have find the more confidence after Miami and seems really motivated to perform better in the last of round. It will be interesting to see if the TRD racer can get the best out of the car, make it into the finale.
