Joe Gibbs Racing had made a major policy change regarding drivers after the 2024 season and Christopher Bell is the driver that is most excited about the change. Joe Gibbs team out a ban on its drivers from racing in the dirt events, and most of the other non-NASCAR events siting safety of drivers, alongside other reasons.

The one who was affected the most with the change was Christopher Bell, who is one of the most talented dirt racers in the country. He missed out on multiple victories, while Kyle Larson of Hendrick Motorsports took the opportunity dominated the sport, with his main rival on the sidelines. Now the duo is excited about recreating their past duels.

While about his expectations about the coming duels, Bell admitted that he thinks with the extra experience Larson will have an advantage on him. He needs to get the feel of dirt racing back and get his speed back. Bell is excited to see how he is going to perform with the return to the short tracks soon.

He’s going to have the upper hand for a little bit; he’s got a two-year headstart on me, so I’m going to have to get my dirt shoes underneath me again and get back up to speed. Hopefully, it’s like riding a bike. We’re about to find out.

Christopher Bell is excited to reconnect with dirt racing fans

The decision to change the driver’s policy was shocking for Bell, who hasn’t expected a change anytime soon. So, he is super excited about it and is looking forward to meet the dirt racing fans he misses for a long-time, due to being away from the sport.

It’s refreshing knowing I’ll be able to do whatever I want to do. I’m super excited to reconnect with my dirt fan base and see everybody at a dirt track soon.
