Trackhosue Racing development driver Conor Zilisch is arguably the biggest racing talent coming up the ranks in NASCAR currently. He now has made the biggest decision of his career, as he was unveiled as the new JR Motorsports No:88 Chevy driver for the 2024 season and beyond, despite the fact that he hasn’t even made his NXS debut yet.
Driving for Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s team with heavy backing from Chevy and Trackhosue comes with a big bag of expectations, and he is ready for it. But with comprehensive wins in every series, he raced so far this season like in CARS Tour and IMSA, he is ready for the challenge. With the move to JRM, he sees it as a huge step.

While further talking about the move, he asserted that joining Dale Jr.’s JR Motorsports is the perfect next-step for him in his career. He pointed out that a lot of the NASCAR champions and contenders have been JRM graduates and getting to follow that journey in 2025, is an really big opportunity he cant overlook.
This is huge for me. It’s the perfect next step for me to be at a place like JR Motorsports. So many NASCAR Cup Series champions and talented drivers have come through this building and to be one of the drivers for 2025 is huge for me.Conor Zilisch said via statement.
Conor Zilisch sees JRM move as a learning curve
He went onto point out that the JR Motorsports stint would be a learning curve for the team. Zilisch admitted that since he has a go-kart background unlike regular NASCAR drivers, he needs a path like JRM with strong resources to get better. He is looking forward to becoming a title contender by the end of 2025.

It’ll be a big learning curve for me. I have a lot to learn, obviously, with my background being a little different than what I’m maybe used to, but it’s the path I’m wanting to take. I have a lot of great people around me that are willing to help and hopefully I’ll be a sponge and soak it in and maybe be a title contender by the end of next year.Conor Zilisch said.
The young driver will have his first taste of the Xfinity Series soon, with the four scheduled starts with JRM this season. He would be looking forward to learn everything he possibly would from it a place himself in a good spot for the 2025 season.
