Dale Earnhardt Jr. asserts not owning a Cup team won’t be a “massive regret” of him
NASCAR Hall of Famer Dale Earnhardt Jr. has given his latest update on his plans to enter the Cup series in the future.

The NASCAR community has been missing the iconic Earnhardt family name from the Cup grid since Dale Earnhardt Jr. retired from the sport in 2016. Since then, many expected a return from the family as team owners to the sport, by either promoting their Xfinity team JR Motorsports or buying into another team.
Though Dale Earnhardt Jr. and his big sister Kelly Earnhardt has flirted with the possibility of entering the sport, they have stayed on the fringes because of financial concerns. They want to buy a charter, if it has a long-term asset value. Recently Junior talked about all the development in the sport and will it inspire them to enter the top series.
He pointed out that the Earnhardt’s are still hanging out regarding the entry and claimed that even if he didn’t do it, it won’t be a massive regret. Junior explained that he and his sister always wants to enter the sport as it is a big part of their life. They are waiting for the right opportunity to make the investment.

Junior Motorsports over the years has become one of the biggest producers of championship caliber drivers in the sport. Dale Jr. cherishes this opportunity and loves to part of it. He pointed out that though many drivers stay with the team for a limited amount of time before moving on to Cup opportunities.
The Earnhardt’s seems to be loving what they are doing for the sport at the moment and if they are to invest more into it, the opportunity should be make the sense. It will be interesting to see how the families Cup future will turn out.
