The 2025 NASCAR Cup season will mark history, as Hall of Famer Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s Xfinity Series team Junior Motorsports is set to make their long-awaited Cup debut. They, with the technical support from Hendrick Motorsports, will field the No:40 Traveller’s Whiskey sponsored Chevy at the Daytona 500.
The reigning Xfinity Series champion of JRM, Justin Allgaier, will drive the car and has the responsibility of making the debut memorable. One of the main factors that gives Dale Earnhardt Jr. the confidence going into the event is having Greg Ives as the No:40 team crew chief and is hoping that Ives’ magic can help them to thrive.
He knows entering the crown jewel race as an open car will be tough, with qualifying being their main challenge. So, Junior believes his confidences in Ives will payout for him and expect to use the Daytona 500 opportunity the best way they could.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. trusts Greg Ives wholeheartedly
Further talking about, Ives, who has won three races with Dale Jr. in his final years with Hendrick Motorsports. They have built a close friendship, owing to their time together and trust him wholeheartedly, and sees him as a big assist.
The comments from Dale Earnhardt Jr. shows how much he trusts Greg Ives and the expertise he is going to bring into the No:40 team. It would be interesting to see how Justin Allgaier will perform, in at Daytona.
