The Texas Motor Speedway on Saturday hosted arguable one of the best Xfinity Series race finish ever. Junior Motorsports driver Sam Mayer secured a win in his No:1 Chevy overtaking veteran Ryan Sieg on the final lap of the 200-lap race. At the finish line, the difference between the two was just 0.002 seconds.
Ryan Sieg was over 1.2s ahead of Sam Mayer in the last 20 laps of the race in his No. 39 Ryan Sieg Racing Ford and was comfortable leading the way to the win. But his JRM rival wasn’t ready to give up, he slowly reduced the gap to his veteran rival lap by lap and on the last alp was on the bumper of the Sieg. After multiple beating and banging coming to the finish line, the youngster took home the win.
JRM boss Dale Earnhardt Jr. was overjoyed to see his cars back on the victory lane after a long-time and shared his thoughts on X. He also sympathized with Sieg and acknowledge the hard work his team has put in to make the car competitive. It was a really disappointing loss for veteran, as has come this close to breaking his 341-race winless streak.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. asserts that Sam Mayer and team can now be more relaxed
The two times Xfinity Series champion acknowledge the harsh times his driver has gone through at the start of the season. He believes now with the impressive win, Mayer and his crew chief Mardy Lindley can be more relaxed and start getting the team ready for the championship.

While Mayer delivered him the win, Junior still be disappointed by the fact that his most senior driver Justin Allgaier, who led over 100 laps in the race, ended up in P3 instaed of the victory lane. Other JRM driver Sammy Smith secured a P8 while Brandon Jones scored a P13 finish. It would be the momentum building win JRM needed to secure playoff spots for the other three drivers.
