One of the most controversial news from NASCAR this week has been the decision from AM Racing ti part ways with Hailie Deegan. The decision was made by the Ford team after back-to-back disappointing performances from the young racer in the No:15 car and the team not having the right feedback that would enable them to bounce back.

NASCAR Hall of Famer Dale Earnhardt Jr. discussed the drama in his podcast, and explained where she should go next. He highlighted that Hailie Deegan doesn’t need to upgrade her team or something but has to go to a team that has experienced and is capable of handling and protecting inexperienced young drivers.

In the same discussion Junior also pointed out that AM Racing, which is a young team, should hire an experience driver to get back on track. Having someone with experience will give them the breathing space and the much-required feedback to get better at every track.

Ex-NASCAR racer Kenny Wallace was an active part of conversations in social media after Deegan lost her seat at AMR. During these, he pointed out that inters of popularity, the Ford driver is on the top in stock car racing world.

He named the top-3 most popular drivers in NASCAR. Wallace named Deegan as the number and at second was 23XI Racing driver Bubba Wallace, the only black racer in the top-tier. At third it was Joe Gibbs Racing veteran Denny Hamlin.

This popularity has been one of the major factors that will help Deegan to secure a seat for next-season and get over the disappointment. She can be successful again if she is able to tap into her popularity and talent more productively in the coming years.
