The 2024 NASCAR Cup season witnessed one of the peak dramatic moments of the year last week at Roval, the Round of 12 cutoff race. Hendrick Motorsports’ Alex Bowman, who has been consistent throughout the playoffs, struggled the whole race and just scrapped his way into the last-8, before the shocker occurred.
In the post-race weight in, Alex Bowman’s No:48 Chevy was found underweight and he was disqualified. The team had the opportunity to appeal the decision, but decided against it as they didn’t have any arguments against it. Ex-HMS driver Dale Earnhardt Jr. talked about the DQ and pointed out that the team still don’t have any idea what happened to the car.
With everything on the line, this is Alex’s championship hopes. They rest on the idea that they can somehow appeal this, and they didn’t even try to appeal it. I called around a little bit yesterday looking for some information. I was told that there was no understanding as to how the car was light, what might have come off of it.

The Hall of Famer further pointed out that HMS is as confused as the rest of the garage, which he finds really surprising considering they have really good technical crew. He seems really amused by how dumbfounded and unsure the Hendrick Motorsports crew was.
The team at one point yesterday was still as confused as the rest of us. That was a bit surprising because the teams are good enough, all the guys and the technical crew chief, engineers, if the car is light, they can probably look at the car and spend 20 minutes in the garage and go, ‘Yup, there it is. There’s the problem.’ And still hours later, they were like dumbfounded or just still unsure as to how this could happen.

Dirty Mo Media insider reveals how the podcast helps Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Mike Davis, the mastermind behind most of Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s podcast, pointed out that the podcast is really safe and comfortable place for Junior who has been a lifelong introvert. He suggested that it’s a really comfortable for Junior to speak his heart out.

It’s a safe, comfortable way for Dale Jr., the lifelong introvert, the shy kid who was always undersized, and bouncing from school to school to school to school, couldn’t even stay in the school… And now he’s now found a way to have a comfortable conversation and people are taking him up on it.
Mike Davis told Kenny Wallace.
The comment from Davis shows the podcasts are some kinds of therapy for the veteran and its gives fans a closer look into their favorite driver. Making it more comfortable for Junior will gives the NASCAR fans the best opportunity possible to enjoy more podcast content from him.
