The Superspeedway has always hosted some of the fastest and most entraining races ever in NASCAR. But the increasing trends in drafting is taking the fun out of it, according to Hall of Famer Dale Earnhardt Jr. He was furious while discussing how the manufacturer alliance during the race is negatively affecting the sport.

Drafting is superspeedways is the key to succeed and in the past driver uses to make alliance on track to get the better of rest of the grid. Nowadays it isn’t the case, as the manufacture camps have replaced the alliance. Chevy, Ford and Toyota cars get in group and draft together in order to best their rivals and bag the win.

There’s a lot of people that truly believe in the loyalty and you do everything you can to make… The manipulation in manufacturing by teams and manufacturer camps of the races at Daytona and Talladega have gotten way out of hand.

It was even more egregious a couple years back. Remember, they were pitting together and practicing together and everything was so orchestrated. It was nauseating. …It ruined racing at Daytona and Talladega when the manufacturers were all trying to connive and work against each other.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. added.

The Hall of Famer does have a valid point as such tactics affects the overall entertainment value of the sport and makes it hard watch for the fans. It would be interesting to see if NASCAR would take note of Dale Jr.’s comments and take the right measures.
