NASCAR Hall of Famer Dale Earnhardt Jr. has shared his verdict on how the retirement is going to change Martin Truex Jr.

The 2024 NASCAR Cup season marked the end of an era with the oldest racer in the garage, Martin Truex Jr., retiring from full-time racing. The 2017 champion is determined to finally have fun outside the sport, and enjoy the life he always wanted. His longtime friend and ex-rival Dale Earnhardt Jr. have shared his view on veterans’ retirement.
The Hall of Famer via his Dale Jr. Download podcast, pointed out that it feels nice to see the ex-JGR racer enjoying his post-retirement life and admit that he expects Martin Truex Jr. will be a different person after retirement. This is because of the fact that he doesn’t have to worry about the intense grind during NASCAR race weeks.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. pointed out that MTJ now has the time to do and plan whatever he wants, with his hunting and fishing trips. This also will give the former champion the flexibility required to awork on his other non-racing ventures.

In the same podcast, Dale Earnhardt Jr. explained the obsession MTJ has about the outdoor life and pointed out that the veteran racer would rather go for a fishing trip than racing. Junior is happy for MTJ and is looking forward the opportunities that comes with retirement.
