The Next-Gen era has changed the Cup Series for good and bad. The tracks that once used to host dull races, now has the most entertaining ones and vice versa. Kansas Motor Speedway is one such track that went through such a big change as it has evolved into the best race in the last three season. Hendrick Motorsports’ Kyle Larson who has been part of some huge moments there, though has some reservation about the tag.
The 2021 Cup Series champion’s concerns is the product the attitude NASCAR fans have towards good tracks having occasional dull races. Unlike most of the sports fans around the world, the stock car fandom is always cold and direct when they criticize the sanctioning body. Kyle Larson expects the fans to turn on the track if this Sunday’s AdventHealth 400 didn’t deliver.
The No:5 HMS Chevy driver made the comments regarding the issues with fans in an interview with Kaleb Vestal of Speedway Digest. He asserted that NASCAR has to get the new left rear tier tweak right as if they fail, the fans will forget the same track gave them a 0.001 second photo finish just the last season, involving Larson and Chris Buescher.
Yeah, but then if it’s a boring race, everybody is going to complain even more about the cars like, ‘Oh my God, Kansas has been so great in the past and they brought a new left-side tire and now the racing s**s. NASCAR, you’re idiots, Goodyear, you s**k.’ We’ll see how the race goes.
Kyle Larson said via Speedway Digest.
NASCAR Hall of Famer Dale Earnhardt Jr. came across the comments on social media and gave the perfect response. He declared that the race will never be as bad as Larson predicted.
No chance we get a dud Kansas. We are so due!

Kyle Larson once again broke Chris Buescher’s heart
The Larson- Buescher saga witnessed a new chapter this Saturday, during the qualifying. They found themselves in the battle for the pole position and the champion driver came out as the fastest. He competed a lap 183.730 mph while Buescher was able to get to 183.374 mph.

Kyle Larson talked about the ironic nature of the result after the qualifying and admitted that this makes the story line much better, as it gives something more to look forward to on Sunday. The veteran seems to be enjoying these moments.
It’s definitely ironic and really cool. I think it adds to the story line of what happened last year and probably builds anticipation for the race (on Sunday). I won’t be thinking about it, I guess, when we’re rolling around under caution, but, yeah, it’s ironic and funny and cool all at the same time.
Kyle Larson said.
A victory at Kansas won’t come easy for Kyle Larson, as he will be facing tough battles from the likes of William Byron, Christopher Bell, Denny Hamlin, Ryan Blaney and the 23XI Racing duo of Tyler Reddick and Bubba Wallace. According to the bookies the No:5 and the No:45 Cup cars are the favorites to win.
It would be interesting to see how everything is going to playout for the HMS leader, with his teammates and close friends on the track being his biggest challengers of the day. Perfect execution on the track and in the pit-road will be the decisive factors on Sunday.
