The 2024 NASCAR Xfinity Series season has been a year of mixed emotions so far for Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s JR Motorsports. They have won multiple races as expected of them, but at the same time haven been part of questionable or hilarious incident at the track. One such incident occurred on Saturday at Michigan well.

JRM fielded five cars in the race, with four of their full-time racers racing alongside part-timer Carson Kvapil, and only two of them crossed the finish line. Justin Allgaier secured his fourth race win of the season, marking his championship contention credential. He won by taking advantage of the wreck that featured Kvapil on the final lap.

Just cannot say thank you enough to this team and all these guys standing right here. It’s been an incredible week. We did not show up at [the last race in] Indianapolis like we wanted to and these guys have worked tirelessly through this break. It’s truly special, winning at Michigan.
Justin Allgaier said.

The impressive win in Chevy’s home track also helped him set new record. He has passed the 24-win record held by his boss Junior and has taken his pace in the top 10 all-time winners list in the series. It would be interesting see if the veteran converts the start to a more success in the remaining races this season.
