Hollywood actress Meghan Markle is one of the most popular figures of the British royal family. The 43-year-old married Prince Harry in 2018 before stepping back from royal duties two years later. In her first-ever podcast appearance, Markle revealed the nicknames, she and Prince Harry call one another. However, Dale Earnhardt Jr.‘s NASCAR team, JR Motorsports decided to take a clever dig at the Duchess of Sussex.
Meghan Markle appeared on The Jamie Kern Lima Show on April 28. During the conversation, the American star addressed Prince Harry as ‘H,’ before revealing that he calls her ‘M’ in return. The famous couple call each other by their initials affectionately. Markle claimed that they had used these nicknames when they first started dating all the way back in 2016. The two have used other nicknames during this time as well, but the initials stand out from the rest.
Following the podcast, JR Motorsports took to X to mock the couple. The team claimed that they will simply continue to call Dale Earnhardt Jr. ‘Champ’ as the letters ‘H’ and ‘M’ were taken by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Moreover, JRM even shared a X post, saying that fans would be shocked to hear why they are called JRM in NASCAR.
Looks like M and H have their nicknames locked in-guess we’ll stick to calling Dale Jr. ‘Champ’ #NASCAR #MeghanMarkle.

This dig was rather unexpected from a NASCAR team. However, it is likely that JRM decided to use this moment to go viral amongst fans and gain more reach. With users online reacting positively to the tweets.
y'all are not going to believe why we go by "JRM" 🤯 https://t.co/aGe7VCfadK pic.twitter.com/CQLnvZgeEx

Dale Earnhardt Jr. makes bold claim over winning in F1
Earnhardt Jr. is one of the most experienced drivers in NASCAR. The 50-year-old has achieved immense success during his long and illustrious career in the sport, starting off with two consecutive Busch Series wins in 1998 and 1999. However, one sport that he failed to ever compete is Formula 1. Now, the JRM driver has revealed the one condition that would’ve allowed him to win at the pinnacle of motorsport.

Unlike NASCAR, Formula 1 does not race on ovals. Even when F1 raced at the iconic Indianapolis Motor Speedway, it raced on the road course, rather than the oval layout used for the Indy 500. This remained the biggest problem for Dale Earnhardt Jr. who has spent the majority of his career on ovals. It would’ve been much more difficult for the 50-year-old to go head-to-head against F1 drivers on traditional circuits.
If F1 raced on ovals, I could’ve won an F1 race, F1 is strictly road course racing. I would’ve had to have trained my entire life to even have been competitive, I believe, but I grew up racing on ovals. That’s really like a completely different discipline. The way you drive an oval versus the way you drive a road course is so different.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. said on Hard Rock Bet.
Now, at the age of 50, Earnhardt Jr.’s days of considering to race in Formula 1 are over. The NASCAR veteran could’ve managed to make things difficult for drivers in F1. Unfortunately, fans never got to see such a thrilling crossover. NASCAR drivers are more used to oval racing and would find traditional road courses a bigger challenge, while F1 drivers have raced on such layouts for their whole lives. This negates an even playing field, and stops stars from stock car racing from really thinking of having a go at the pinnacle of motorsport.
