23XI Racing star driver Bubba Wallace’s flawless execution secured him an impressive win on Sunday at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, earning him a playoff spot. His maiden Crown Jewel win also helped him to end his 100-race winless streak, that started back in 2022. Hall of Famer Dale Earnhardt Jr. was one of the many personals that was impressed with the racers’ performance.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. was on the broadcasting booth calling the race win and was quick to appreciate the No:23 Toyota Camry driver. He asserted that Bubba Wallace and his team executed the race perfectly, and with the win has changed the playoff battle for the point chasers, in the process also produced yet another entertaining event at the iconic venue.
Heck of a job by Bubba Wallace and his team to be able to do what they needed to do today. Changing that cutline and creating storylines, another dynamic result or finish to this Indy race here. And it’s so interesting to me, you think every year, these crew chiefs have upped the game.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. said via TNT Broadcast (On3.com).
In a separate conversation later in the post-race broadcast, the Hall of Famer gave the TRD driver a solid advice on how to celebrate the win. He wants Bubba Wallace to sock in and enjoy his maiden crown jewel race win, enjoy it with his friends and family, as he might not get to experience a similar moment anytime soon.
I want to give you a piece of advice. You don’t really need any, but this is the best advice that I think I got in moments like this: Enjoy every second of this. The rest of this, all the media you’re going to do after this moment, all the other moments you’re going to have with your family and friends, your team.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. told Bubba Wallace.
The first-time wins are always special, when it comes in historic venues like Indy, and the fact that it has earned him a playoff spot, which he missed out on last season, makes it another moment to enjoy. The No:23 team now don’t have much pressure on the shoulders in the remaining races of the regular season for the first time in the veteran’s career.
Whatever party you may have tonight. Enjoy it. Soak it all in. You never do this again for the first time. And you also have, you’re locked into the playoffs and you can let all of that pressure roll off your back. I know what that’s like. Great feeling not having that pressure on you going into the next handful of races.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. added.
Bubba Wallace is over the moon after the win
In his post-race interviews, Bubba Wallace was emotional and cried in multiple occasions; while embracing the victory and recalling the challenges he has faced over the years. Talking about it, he credited his team, the crew back at 23XI race shop, alongside the family and friends that supported him during the tough moments.

Oh my gosh, man, just so proud of this team. That adrenaline rush is crazy because I’m coming off that right now, and I’m worn out. I just want to thank everybody behind me right here, all these guys, all these men and women at Airspeed for making this possible. To overcome so much and to put these people here in Victory Lane, that’s what it’s about.
Bubba Wallace said.
Now Bubba Wallace should change his focus to securing more playoff points in the upcoming four races that would give him an edge in the post-season, in order go deep in the playoffs. One major factor that gives him an edge is the fact that he has consistent been one of the best performers in the last 10 races in the Next-Gen era.
