Former NASCAR and IndyCar driver Danica Patrick is known for her bold stands on different political and social issues. She uses her platform and fame as one of the greatest female motorsports drivers in history to share these views. Recently she shared a post on Instagram, to her 970K followers, advocating for another cause.

The post, reshared on Danica Patrick’s Instagram story, was published by an organization named World Wellness Forum. They want to the US government to impose a ban on adds from Big Pharma siting multiple concerns, just like the commercials for Cigarette’s was banned due to public safety concerns from 1971. USA is one of the only countries in the world that allows DTC pharma ads.

The final Cigaretle Commercial aired in Jan 1971. Let’s work together to have the last pharma ad air in 2025.

The US Pharmaceuticals market is the largest in the world, with over $500 billion in revenue per year. In 2024 the Big Pharma industry as whole was valued at $634.32 billion. Its more the overall GDP of some over five countries in the world. By 2030 it is expected that the Big Pharma will be valued $883.97 billion, with a growth rate of 5.72%.

Recently Utah became the first state in USA to ban the use of fluoride. It’s an inorganic ion of fluorine that is found is tooth, bones and in the environment. Excessive fluoride can lead to severe health issues such as dental fluorosis or skeletal fluorosis. So, the practice of using them dental products is bad in the long run as per reports.
