Former NASCAR star Danica Patrick is a staunch supporter of US President Donald Trump. She has continued to align herself to Trump’s views since the American billionaire took office as the president for a second term earlier this year. Amid the intense Israel-Iran conflict in the Middle East, Patrick has applauded Trump’s fiery comments over the two countries.

On June 24, President Donald Trump announced Israel and Iran had come to a ceasefire after days of attacks on one another. Unfortunately, within a couple of hours, the attacks started again. This left the US president frustrated. Trump even went as far as stating that he was not happy with the way the two countries had behaved, while particularly criticizing Israel.

They [Iran] violated it, but Israel violated it too… Israel, as soon as we made the deal, they came out and they dropped a lot of bombs. The likes of which I’ve never seen before… I’m not happy with Israel. When I say you have 12 hours, you don’t go out and just drop everything you have on them. So I’m not happy with them. I’m not happy with Iran either, but I’m really unhappy with Israel’s going out this morning… We basically have two countries that have been fighting so hard that they don’t know what the *** they’re doing.

Danica Patrick was quite glad to see President Trump’s jibe at the two countries. The 43-year-old shared the video on her Instagram story with the caption, “Epic.”

Israel and Iran were at war for 12 days. The escalations began on June 13, when Israel attacked several strategic sites in Iran, and killed some major scientists and military leaders. Iran retaliated by firing hundreds of missiles into the Jewish state. The United States under President Trump assisted Israel’s efforts by using B2-Spirit bombers to attack the most crucial nuclear facilities in Iran.

Danica Patrick ‘proud’ of US airstrikes on Iran

Tensions between Israel and Iran reached an all-time high after Jerusalem raised concerns over Tehran’s ability to build a nuclear bomb. Israel became adamant on destroying all nuclear facilities, to ensure that Tehran is never able to arm itself with weapons of mass destruction.

The US airstrikes were meant to hit the most important nuclear facilities of Iran, namely, Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan. President Trump had declared that the airstrikes had completely destroyed the sites, using the infamous ‘Bunker Busters’ in Fordow and Natanz.

Danica Patrick expressed her support for the airstrikes on X. The American icon shared a video from a boat in the sea, standing right in front of the US flag. With a smile on her face, Patrick wrote that she was proud to be an American, and thanked the US army for keeping it’s citizens safe.

Certainly, Danica Patrick is not the only one who is happy with President Donald Trump’s actions in the Middle East. Trump is receiving a substantial amount of support from US citizens. However, there is also a growing group of voters who are not happy to see Washington get involved in another conflict. The coming days will be crucial for all stakeholders to ensure that things remain calm, and a bigger war is avoided in the region.
