Charlie Kirk, an American political activist, was recently brutally murdered during an event at a college in Utah. The 31-year-old’s death sent massive tremors throughout the country, as even Donald Trump paid his tribute to the former. Now, ex-NASCAR female star Danica Patrick has fired some shots at Senator Ilhan Omar, bad-mouthing the late activist.
Danica Patrick is a big-time Donald Trump supporter and has often shown her support for the latter during political rallies. Patrick has also joined Trump on Air Force One during the said political events. As such, Charlie Kirk, also being a conservative activist, meant that the ex-NASCAR star supported him as well. Following Kirk’s death, a US state representative, Ilhan Omar, made some controversial comments.
In a recent appearance on the Don Lemon Show, Ilhan Omar acknowledged that Charlie Kirk’s death was a tragedy, as no one deserved to pass away like that. However, speaking on Kirk’s legacy, she insisted that there was no legacy left for the people to honor. Omar continued that the late activist’s life was filled with bigotry, hatred, and white supremacy, something that shouldn’t be carried forward by the people.
It is a tragedy that Charlie Kirk was killed in that way, but there is no legacy to honor. It was filled with bigotry, hatred, and white supremacy.
Ilhan Omar said on the Don Lemon Show.
Danica Patrick was certainly not a fan of these comments and did not think twice before calling out Ilhan Omar. The ex-NASCAR star reposted the original video on Instagram Stories and put forth her two cents. Patrick claimed that time would tell the story of who made a true impact out of Omar and Charlie Kirk.
Patrick further claimed that she did not even know who Ilhan Omar was until she read her name in the caption of the original video. As such, she lambasted the ‘riveting’ reporting by the Senator and how she painted Charlie Kirk in a negative light.
Whatever… time always tells the story of who made a true impact. If your name wasn’t in the caption I wouldn’t know it. Riveting reporting.

Danica Patrick reveals who motivated her to join politics
Danica Patrick dedicated her life to politics and donned her full-fledged support for Donald Trump in 2024. She has attended multiple campaign rallies and publicly endorsed Trump. Patrick also started speaking on political events and moderated events that involved people like JD Vance, Robert F Kennedy, and multiple others. However, the 43-year-old revealed the reason behind her being so deeply involved in politics.

In a recent post on Instagram made around the tragic passing of Charlie Kirk, Danica Patrick opened up about her path to politics. She emphasized that she got into politics because of Kirk, and his comments were the turning point for the ex-NASCAR star. Further, Patrick noted that she was unsure of what to expect next, but she was sure to continue where Late Charlie Kirk left off and remember him in their thoughts and prayers.
I got into politics because of @charliekirk1776. It truly was my turning point. I am not sure what to expect, other than one thing…where Charlie left off, we will continue. With all that we have.
Danica Patrick said via Instagram, @danicapatrick.
The USA has already set Charlie Kirk’s birthday, 14th October, as a National Remembrance Day for the late activist. Although the current time is dark for the nation, they continue to move forward with great enthusiasm to honor Kirk’s legacy. Danica Patrick will be even more active as an activist now and hopes to honor the massive hopes banked on her.
